There are different ways to cleanse your crystals. They can be purified with incense, in the earth, under the moonlight, visualization and water. In order to use water as a method to cleanse your crystals, it is good to know which crystals can withstand water. This is so that the crystal does not lose its luster, dissolve or, for example, rust. To determine whether your crystals can withstand water, it is the hardness of the crystal that you look for. This can be checked using the Mohs Hardness Scale .
The crystals that are 6 or higher on the Mohs Hardness scale can be cleaned well in water. But there are also some exceptions that can be good to remember. Some minerals can also leach toxic chemicals into the water, especially if left in water for a long time.
Here's how to cleanse your crystals with water:
Hold the crystal under running tap water, basement water, seawater or lake water. Visualize that you are purifying your crystal when you hold it in water. Hold the crystal under water until it feels clean.
